Oxford Academicals is a Rowing Club based on the Isis River in Oxford, UK. Oxford Academicals is open to anyone over 18 to join or learn to row. Oxford Academicals offers sweep rowing and sculling as a recreational and competitive sport throughout the year.
The Club enables members to row at various commitment levels. Academicals crews enter national events, such as Head of the River and the Henley Regattas, and compete at local regattas, such as City of Oxford, Kingston, and Maidenhead. The squads also have members who choose to row socially or just to keep fit, without competing.
Our home is the Isis Boathouse, situated just upstream of Iffley Lock.
Oxford Academicals RC is open to all but rowing with us requires:
***over 18 years of age
***a basic level of strength, balance and fitness
***a good level of hearing and understanding of commands given in English
***ability to swim 50 m in clothing

Note that we are not equipped with adaptive rowing facilities however Oxford Adaptive Rowing Club can accommodate a range of ability levels.
